Agreed! Companies want to be 1st to do an AI *fill in the blank* but it isn't like being first in space or first to build a plane. It's just first at making mediocre pixel puke that no one watches. Agreed. I also think one thing that gets lost in the conversation is how important it is to be interacting with peers and having even just one (human) teacher who encourages you and makes time for you. The supervisors in that AI school weren’t even teachers, more like IT support.
