Blind Freddy could see this was always a sop to the US. It kinda worked (mostly for the US) when there was an assumption the US would always be our friends. Now, though, that assumption seems foolish in the extreme.

Pity that's all he does though. It's beyond time for Australia to sanction Israel. Words are all he ever offers.

Always such an initial relief that we haven't been lumped with the Coalition. And then, within a verrrrry short time, it's back to hating Labor and wondering why they always disappoint so deeply. Even with a stonking majority.
