Agree. Neither Libs or Labor have made a persuasive argument for the policy.

It's all behind-the-scenes decisions to piss money away for no clear reason.

Blind Freddy could see this was always a sop to the US. It kinda worked (mostly for the US) when there was an assumption the US would always be our friends. Now, though, that assumption seems foolish in the extreme.

Always such an initial relief that we haven't been lumped with the Coalition. And then, within a verrrrry short time, it's back to hating Labor and wondering why they always disappoint so deeply. Even with a stonking majority.
