I thought the same thing! There's at least a dozen games that came to mind which already do this exact thing. As an example, DQX has several classes that conjure "summon slot" (Unsure if there's an actual name) party members + you can call story characters for a super attack.

Too true! A few years back, I was confused why people were talking about it like it would save them. I at least understand the use case now, but it's still something I feel is unnecessary if companies/governments with too much free time would just quit it.

This doesn't protect kids, it's just an excuse to control your purchasing habits. What you are allowed to buy shouldn't be up to a bank.

Is this a good method? No, not really. It only works out for me because it acts as a way to say I did something productive as I learn about something I find interesting.

Google Translate lets you see a dictionary definition, Wikitionary goes into detail + inflections, Reverso for sentences, etc.

It'll never sound as good as a native speaker, but I can at least fool you into thinking it was written by someone who knows something about the language because I put effort into researching grammar and the definitions of the words I am putting in front of you.

Using Spanish as an example, because EN to ESP is surprisingly good with MTL, if I write an English sentence I will dictionary check every word in a sentence to see if I can make sense of it, if I'm suspicious of a word/sentence I'll look for synonyms and alternate suggestions.

@llendar.bsky.social would probably appreciate this...assuming they don't already know about it.

Especially if it's a DS Lite. I got two of those and they both broke.

I personally interpreted it as "exasperated." Like you'd expect a sigh or defeated tone, even if ultimately it's seen as "more beneficial than not, you're still annoyed at the inconvenience of it all." (Via context) But I may also be overthinking it since you prompted us to analyse it more deeply.

Is that particularly common? I can't recall that ever happening to me or anyone I know, at least. I'm also not seeing much info on if they do or do not check the updates.

(Hijacking a bit because you reminded me) It's small so I don't expect you to remember, but when translating gen 3, how much context did you get on the evil teams? Ruby and Sapphire had a grunt express frustration that only made sense (to me) in Sapphire. I assume you only knew Sapphire at the time?

I won't say I don't get it, because I've been brain poisoned by Twitter to see blue checks as a sign of someone paying money to be annoying at the top of the feed instead of the middle/bottom...but this has been a symbol elsewhere for forever now.
