Peter, James, and John, fishermen, were looked at in this same way in ancient Roman-controlled Palestine (Judea/Judah, Samaria, Galilee) by the powers that be. Jesus emboldened them. Empowered them. Gave them dignity. We are to do the same.

THREAD: Mr. Jeffress is showing us a classic example of idolatry. It's not the job of a preacher to make a leader "feel good." A preacher does not work for nor answer to the president or any leader. Their job is to preach God's truth with preferential treatment for the marginalized.
