Early Monday morning I went to Kennedy Point Park in Titusville and took my first successful long exposure of a Falcon 9 launch from across Indian River. You can see the classic VAB in the middle of the shoreline.

First Light with the @skywatcherusa.bsky.social Skymax 180 tonight and let me tell you that the Maksutov lunar hype is real. Probably some of favorite live views of the Moon even against the Edge 9.25 and I haven't even checked collimation yet! This is def a keeper. Quick live stack with 585 sensor.

Was streaming Lyrids last night with a 24mm lens on a DSLR. Didn't see any sadly before clouds came, BUT was able to zoom in and pick out M51, M101, and M106. At 24mm!
Great opportunity to talk about Messier and show you don't need some huge telescope to see galaxies from your own backyard!

I have an idea! During WWII, B.F Skinner worked on training pigeons to guide "smart bombs" for the Air Force.
Maybe instead of calling everything A.I (which has this sci-fi supreme human intelligence connotation), we can say Artificial Pigeon Brains or A.P.B to reflect a more apt comparison!
