We’re kicking off CC signals! These preference signals will be designed to offer a new way for stewards of large collections of content to indicate their preferences as to how machines (and the humans controlling them) should contribute back to the commons.

They are constant changes in the product, which means most users end up feeling unsure that they did the right thing.

Though sometimes, the deed of gift is peculiar, and money is also given for processing, and it’s a tiny part of a very valiable collection.
I don’t deal with donors much, but they can be very peculiar. Legislation can come into it to if they was a tax receipt for the donation.
