Also general analysis and PDE theory disregards dimension completely: all bounds have a "costant depending on dimension".. taking directly results from books becomes pretty useless for use deep learning, one would have to redo all the proofs keeping the dimension dependence => nobody takes the time

But how does one change that? Feels like many talk about the problem but (supposedly I'm part of the system and) I don't know what to do in practice about it.. also, if you choose not to be one of such PIs then seemingly you are obliged to get out of top positions, because you aren't competitive
