The international space station cost, over its entire lifetime, about 150 billion, or just under twice the amount zuck pissed up a wall for his shitty second life clone. A modern U.S. navy nuclear aircraft carrier costs about 13 billion. 77 billion with this little to show for it is comical.

the issue isn't that it wasn't profitable, it's that it wasn't useful. They went to work and made nothing with utility or artistic value. Their labor was wasted on a billionaire's folly.

sure but those workers were not producing with their labor. It's good that they were eating, but their labor could have been producing something, instead of...whatever the fuck.

i don't think anyone is claiming Steam isn't legally allowed, Destin. Most people aren't of the opinion that if something is legally allowed it's also inherently okay to do. Cheating on your spouse is legal in most places.
