A friend of mine thought of it more like a pipeline of zombies than a pipe shaped zombie

Every time I read/hear "zombie pipeline" all I see is...

I just had a paper declined by a journal. The paper was on co-creation with AI (and outlining the problems).

Rejection with critical feedback is fine but the part that stands out is the excerpt I explicitly cited as AI was, "so interesting."

I'm sorry, the highest compliment went to AI. WTAF

We talk about politicians pandering to corporations but we also need to look at demographics.

As of 2019, millennials made up the largest eligible voting bloc. Here we are in 2025 with a budget that is still focused on baby boomers who, on average, are way more wealthy than other generations.

Ugh it was a lie.

But here is some history from NPR to make up for it.

This year is sucking on a personal level.

Kit AKA "black cat" has been with me since 2012. He was the most dramatic but also the most cuddly. Today he crossed the rainbow bridge.

Are you saying that the women in leadership who left after treatment that was morally abhorrent are the "calculating" ones?? The professionals with several years experience? Here I was thinking they just "don't understand politics." I think we must have a different interpretation of "principles"

Today's lesson on how to not follow the rules you approved:

(There is a special kind of irony noticing this on the same day an email goes out talking about "principled" women. The other Council Chair contestant is also a woman - neither the Leader nor DL nominated her, though. That's reasonable?)

I set up a new junk email account to set up a junk X account so I could contact my CPC MP that never responds. Of course, then I see this gem.

Putting "dialogues" in quotes is super rich from a guy that relies on strongman slogans (also included) and plays the victim when disagreed with.

Just a reminder that in Canada, these are the freedoms we are supposed to enjoy.

However, opinion versus fact should be explicitly differentiated, at least, in my opinion.

We need to shout from the rooftops that using "free speech" like we're the 51st state is a stupid thing to do.

Apparently this is an anti-immigration protest on Parliament Hill? The government's plan will pause population growth and set controlled targets for immigrants and foreign workers. We've known about this plan for almost a year.

Y'all are protesting a thing you wanted and don't even realize it.

If you are truly concerned about political violence you should damn well be concerned about violence against journalists and violence against women. Anyways, I sent the to my MP and copied Scheer. Will I hear anything back? Unlikely, given I also live in a CPC riding and no one will say "boo."

I checked out Notebook LM again last night and discovered "Video Overview." Not gonna lie, it's kinda fun. I used papers I tagged "education." The downside is the lack of citation (list in the replies). I sped this up and cut off the end to make it fit here. And, added music for funsies.

Playing with political arguments today: Young men are leaning conservative. I told AI I'm a 20yo man and I wanted it to convince me I should vote for the Liberal Party of Canada instead.

The TL;dr outcome:

No, it's not. I would rather see more voices than less. But, saying they had 343 candidates and running and then running 232 is a large discrepancy. Emailing people - and offering to pay some - to collect signatures for candidates days before the EC deadline pretty shows it wasn't strategic.
