I have saved this bit of kanji - from when I was 15. I made it in Japan, and also miraculously remembered that it means "balloon". Its intent, as I remember it, is to be an auspicious word - a blessing of "air" energy/delight to those who read it.

I purposefully buy all black socks - so that I save myself the pain of having to sort through endless combinations. Each of these is distinct..... and without its match. Le sigh.

My father is a talented carpenter. He is shortening pews from my family's ancestral church (Antelope Valley Church near Oberon, ND) - and giving them to family members. This one is mine. <3 Over 100 years old- now renewed. Think of the weddings, funerals, baptisms, music - all infused into the oak.
