The best part of the cake baking process is that it didn't need a water bath, and there was no cracking. Can't wait to feed this to Andy and his family tonight. <3

I made a brownie-bottom-crusted cheese cake for Andy's birthday celebration (to be held tomorrow). The theme is chocolate covered strawberry - deconstructed. I prepared a stabilized whipped cream by melting some vegan sour strawberry gummy candies on the stove top, and then adding in the cream.

I was one of those one in a million people who got a bells palsy reaction to the COVID vaccine. It sucked. I mostly recovered, eventually. It only impacted the left side of my face. For the past month, that same side.... hurts. No redness, acne, flakey skin. The tissue appears normal.

I have a lot of fears about step motherhood right now. Like.... existential dread / and generally that I am f'ing this up, totally, and also that I am going to struggle for the next 7 years if things in the household don't change for the better.

I didn't know that QR codes don't work for apple devices. And I sent out all of my wedding invitations with a qr code - with all of the details of the wedding. 🙃🙃🙃 I also sent out the URL for people who struggle with QR codes.

Did you know that mail carriers don't pick up your mail if you live in a city, but they do if you live in a rural area? At least that is how it works in the Arcadia neighborhood in Kzo.

Val Day was full of big feelings - lots of great experiences (Sofke was made a court baroness, my apprentice, Licia, did really well in QPT (her veil was well presented and displayed nicely), and the entrant who I sponsored WON the tournament with her epic falconry hood.
