It’s a line chart showing how five reasons for usng social media have changed between 2014 and 2024, with 0% meaning no change through time. “To meet new people” has declined to about -30% between 2014 and 2024. “To share my opinion” has declined below -40%. “To keep up with friends” was at -40% in 2021, no data for later years. “To fill spare time” has increased to +10% in 2024. “To follow celebrities” is almost at +20%, with some noticeable decline since 2022. The same user also posted a map of the “most popular chemical elements” in the US. Not as amusing as the food map, but still worth a chuckle
AI generated map titled “Most popular chemical element in each US state”. For some states the symbol is used (but Montana is “Znc”), for other the name is spelled out (but Virginia and Arkansas are “IRO”, Mississippi and Alabama are “IR”). California loves uranium (which looks suspiciously similar to gold ingots), the Pacific Northwest likes zinc. Nebraska… has the picture of a rock? Iowa has some white powder labelled “carbon”. The Virgin Islands prefer praseodymium, apparently. Oh, and there are two Alaskas, one likes gold, the other likes titanium. And apparently Guam likes “B cobalt, Co cobalt”.
