Tonight's monster from twitch stream: the extravagant Vampire Lord. A cunning foe from beyond life and death - its taste in clothing is something beyond as well.

Its body is human like, and he is dressed with some peculiar clothes such as a wide mantle with big, horn-like shoulders. Below the cape, white, puffy sleeves, with laced wrists. Elizabethian breeches and pointed shoes with a ribbon also contribute to the extravagant style, as a big ascot scarf completes the look. A fur like scarf envelopes its bat-like head, with huge wrinkled bat-like ears and a pointy nose. The overworld sprite is seen frontally, surrounded by three lesser bat monsters.

Added gradient maps to the gradient mixer. Add image to use the resulting gradient on. It extracts 10 stops for you to start. Edit gradient, or pick a color from the original to add to the gradient. Copy/paste in and out of the app, export the gradient to use in other software.

Speaking as someone who was responsible for hiring actors in 3 big AAA video games, VO is one of the cheapest assets in the game. Gargantuan bang for buck. I think we spent as much on a single character model as we did on all the VO for the whole game.

Been thinking on the use of GenAi for mood boards. Ethics and legal risks aside, I truly believe using GenAi as references deprives one of many pivotal things.

Here’s a blurb on what I mean:
Some thoughts: When using GenAi as a mood board you don't get sources. This means you deprive yourself from knowledge. You generated a location? You deprived yourself of knowing more about the interesting parts of the world and why things came to be. Generate an armor or costume? You deprived yourself on real world techniques, function, form and history. You generated art inspirations? You deprive yourself of learning about artists from history or lock out living ones from potentially being hired. Ethical issues of using GenAi models aside, one ends up making visuals mood boards devoid of reality and history. With it one deprives themselves from learning about our world and who is living in it, inadvertently making your work weaker, because of how detached it is from our shared human reality and history.

Our feature artist/ref today is on FORESHORTENING ARMS by @ruchikapose! The MID-POINT of the arm ( here marked with WHITE bands) SHIFTS BACK VISUALLY when foreshortening - combined with the OVERLAP caused by the WIDTH of the upper forearm, we see VERY LITTLE of the UPPER ARM!
