I want another cat at home but it won't be the same.

Since our grand dame crossed the rainbow bridge, I haven't been able to pet another cat because it just feels different.

Most days now I miss the old days of the internet, where the toxic shit doesn't flow into where I am at.

I don't see idiocy of the loudest idiots.

Just recular people sharing about their regular lives.

I miss those days.

Do you ever get over the death of a pet?

I just realised that today is the first time in truly alone at home.

No more cuddles on the couch, no insistent meows for petting and food.

It's one thing to say that my daughter has been bullying your child.

It's another to harass my child and make unnecessary comments to ger and her friend.

Who's the bigger bully?

I think that not being in Singapore this GE makes the emotions not as intense.

One of the things that I realised after moving here is that, because most of the parents here are either working remotely, free lancers or self-employed, we can actually meet up for breakfast and plan our work around our lives.

Back in SG, we plan our life around work.

One of the most frustrating things about parenting that I'm going through right now is bullying, where my kids are the aggressors.

It's frustrating because I know that my husband's insistance that they protect themselves and not be bullied backfired in that they take preemptive strikes.

3 million child deaths were linked to rising antimicrobial resistance. Africa & Asia are the most impacted regions. The growing threat of AMR is one of most consequential threats to global public health. Another reason to invest & not defund research.

I think that I need a personal project to keep me more, well rounded mentally and emotionally.

I don't think that the data entry thing is that soul sucking. it's dealing with people, and cleaning up the mess that the previous assistant left behind that is more annoying.

My child is learning that being mean to her friends means that she's not going to have friends.

We've talked to her so many times about how to treat people, even if they annoy you.

She's only 9 but she's leaving actions have consequences.

Something like the Dwayne McDuffie Award for Diversity is probably more important than ever now, both in America and around the world. My publisher's already submitting WORK-LIFE BALANCE, so if you were thinking of submitting your work, do so!

What I miss and appreciate Bout Singapore is that noone gives a fuck if your not fasting and eating in public during Ramadan.

No haram police.
You might get STOMP-ed unofficially but no legal action taken.

Malaysia is a totally different ball game.

We're on Day 14 of Ramadan where I'm at and in the past 13 evenings, we've spent most of the evenings at home, eating home-cooked food.

This Ramadan, I have been needing to stretch after the Tarawih prayers.

I haven't worked out for a while now so my muscles are not happy to be working those extra prayers, but the stretching helps to loosen them up.

I get to go to bed more comfortable and actually sleep better.

When people read spicy stories, do their partners get to enjoy the effects of them reading the books?

Just wondering. Asking for a friend.

One recent development over the past few Ramadan is that my husband and I have been doing tarawih prayers at home together.

I love it.

This year, we have been including my kids into Isyak prayers and we've been praying as a family.

This has been one of my dreams, ever since we had the kids.

I'm looking for recommendations for smutty vampire books with plot.

Spice is nice but plot should be the main thing.

Help?

When I told my husband, a long time ago, that I want to take over from his admin assistant, when I quit my job, he said that the work is beneath me and I should do something else.\

But circumstances have required that I take over. At least for the next few months, to see how it goes.

I'm having some gaming withdrawal since I finished Wytchwood.

I should restart Graveyard Keeper on my Steam account.
