This is unbelievably sad news. Jill was an amazing talent. Her music was a shibboleth for so many closeted queer kids in the late 90s to find safe people and spaces. “Oh hey, you own this album too. Do you like it?” was basically code for the real questions we couldn’t confidently or safely ask yet

People with Tuberculosis can infect 10-15 other people. It is far more transmissible than Covid. For too long the west has thought of TB as a disease in other places, but those chickens are coming home to roost. (TB facts from the depressingly prescient and timely book ‘Everything is Tuberculosis’)

This article gets it. For nine years we have been fed headlines of “starting to see cracks in Trump support” and for nine years it hasn’t happened. It is foolish for anyone to think it would happen now. Trump could shoot his supporters own mothers on 5th Avenue and wouldn’t lose votes.

This is the real issue with this change. It’s not the cronyism or enriching one’s company. It is the complete, unfettered access to the data that will be running through Starlink’s servers.
