Business, investments, technologies, current trends, and the occasional rant about politics.
Where is the press conference to present a counter-narrative and challenge Brexit Nigel’s attention-seeking performance yesterday?

We already have digital IDs for working people-the National Insurance number, a driving licence for those who drive, and a passport for those who travel abroad, the world did not end.

I don't get why is an ID card so controversial? It would be more convenient to have just 1 ID instead of 6 or 7.

They don't seem that bothered about what Trump says.

Parents already have the option to enable parental controls and content filters on home broadband, phones, and to restrict access to social media and screen time. If they’re not doing that already, then this bill won’t be very effective.

It’s only a thing on social media.

I stopped using X and now limit how much news I consume and comment on each day. I have more time to focus on family, friends, my work, and my local community. It's only been two months, but I don’t feel the doom and gloom anymore.

Work with them if you want to get anything done.
Left-wing politicians also need to learn how to reframe the same issues in a language that centre and right-wing voters can understand.

Government lawyers should get to work.

I want to see this replacing Farage in the news every week. Glad the left is doing something.

Work together, if you want to get things done.

It's very sad to see how a completely man-made concept like 'wokeness' can end up destroying the most powerful country in the world and tearing it apart from within.

That said, the ability to get narratives through the media is a political skill that Labour should possess. They do seem to have a Comms problem.

Focus on winning back working-class votes from Reform.

If you focus on Labour, then Reform wins, and the new party ends up doing more harm than good.
July 26, 2025 at 7:40 AM
😅 very different sort of problem

Why not just call the party Momentum.

Seems like an obvious choice to me. It summarises the party and the political movement. And it's already well known.

Left-wing parties won’t win elections if they keep thinking this way. Focus on living standards, not just for the working class but for everyone, talk about security-food security, global security, education, water, reduced pollution.

But avoid framing it as elites vs us, that turns many voters off
July 25, 2025 at 2:02 PM
Why would anyone be upset if there is nothing to hide?
July 24, 2025 at 2:06 PM
Glad to see more choice for voters, this was long overdue.

But please focus on winning back working-class voters from the far right, rather than trying to take on Labour. Otherwise, Reform wins, and the new party ends up doing more harm than good. #Britain

Huge congratulations 👏

Building insurance and service charges have increased by ridiculous amounts, in some areas, they’ve even doubled. It’s no surprise that property owners are passing the cost on to tenants. Many have decided to sell, further reducing the supply of rental properties.

Because the initial capital isn’t used up, it generates income every year, providing a more sustainable funding source for long-term projects like the NHS.

Right now, we just tax and spend, the entire burden falls on tax revenue, and it keeps growing each year. That’s not sustainable.

It’s similar to how top universities operate. You start with a few billion in a fund and invest it. Each year, you use the returns to cover some running costs but never spend the original amount. Over time, you keep adding to the fund so the investment income can cover more and more expenses.
