This is the way to do it. Welcome foreign investors but only as the smaller partner. We need to keep more innovative companies in the UK and Europe.

Urging Ukraine to strike a deal on US access to critical minerals… These people are acting like thugs, bullying anyone with less power than them and not even having the decency to do it behind closed doors. I don't believe this is what voters wanted. Disgusting behaviour. #USA

His first policy is to bully #Denmark and annexing Greenland? This is what the American people voted for? #USA #peace #costofliving

Elon Musk promised 'free speech' when he bought Twitter/X, yet this is the reality for anyone who dares to have different views. I want to believe what he says, but I fear he may have lost his way.

Reform needs to understand that the USA has a huge internal market, whereas the #UK does not. Our large market was the European one. It would be like Washington State leaving the US market.

So yes, we should get our access to the European market back, so SoftBank can invest here. #Britain

It's good to ask questions, but I just hope they aren't spending lots of time answering FOI requests. That would be counterproductive. #Britain

You warn people not to be naive in trusting that billionaires would act against their own interests to change the system, but few would listen. This presidency would be about revenge and making Trump loyalists very rich. Anything can be sacrificed to get a better deal, including you and me. #USA

We would need smaller, safer modular stations (some can even reduce existing nuclear waste) and better financing models to help bring down electricity costs. Govt should own a controlling stake or golden share, but not pay for the whole thing. #Britain

That's because China produces most of the goods we use in the Western world. I'm not sure we’re going to win that argument by going down that road.

At least they have clear policies and making changes at breakneck speed. What about us? #Britain

What a damning statistic.
You can support genuine farmers by making allowances, but farmland should not be used for tax avoidance. #Britain

In an ideal world, I would agree, but the timing is not great. Until British politics finds an antidote to populism and starts fixing things for ordinary people, I don't believe we can handle what PR would mean in practice. #PR

Which is why I have no problem with them taxing companies more national insurance or removing tax loopholes for those who use farmlands to dodge inheritance tax. #Britain

Lobby for an amendment to allow genuine second generation farmers to postpone the tax if they work on the farm.

For others, it should be treated like other assets. We don't want people using farmlands to avoid inheritance tax. #tax #inheritancetax #farmland #Britain

Can these companies blame anyone for the situation that they are in? I agree with re-nationalisation but not to bail out the investors. Let the companies fail and takeover assets for £1. Or the companies can improve management and turn things around when they still can. #water #privatisation

The opposition needs to look at policies in context. Are net zero policies and green industries going to be more relevant in the future compared to traditional oil &gas? Where do you think growth is most likely to come from in 2-3 decades and how we get there. #Britain @conservatives.bsky.social
