I follow the same rule with a spoon. I'm very food-motivated and I never want to miss out on tasty treats.
I sometimes forget to take my work spoon out of my shirt after use at work. I end up looking like the nerdiest fat kid.

Chana Masala! My baseline recipe is in pictures alt text.

I'll frequently make on-the-fly adjustments (sometimes this gets me into trouble). In this batch, I added a large, finely sliced Anaheim pepper just because.
2 hearty glugs of olive oil (EV or experienced) 1 large red onion, finely chopped 0-4 cloves garlic, depending on mood 2 15oz can chickpeas, low-sodium, drained & rinsed 2 Tbsp Chana Masala powder*** 2 tsp Garam Masala powder*** 1 15oz can diced tomato, I blend 1/2 smooth Big pinch of dried kasuri methi, hand fidgeted Heat oil in pan over medium-high heat Add onion & cook until mostly golden Add garlic & cook about 1 minute (if using) Add chickpeas and stir together well Mix in Chana & Garam masala powders Stir semi-constantly about 5 minutes Add diced & blended tomatoes* Stir another 5 minutes, semi-constantly Add 400ml water, mix well. Reduce heat and simmer at least 20 minutes.** Sprinkle with kasui methi and enjoy! *I only use about 3/4 of the can, the other quarter I drink. I'm not sure why. **I prefer to simmer uncovered for a thicker result, but cover if you prefer ***Personally, I use MDH brand

Butter Beans in Florentine Sauce

Not the greatest picture, but taste is pretty damn good. Recipe in alt text.
Butter Beans in Florentine Sauce 1 small onion, chopped 3 cloves garlic, minced 2 cans Butter beans, rinsed & drained 1 heaping cup Corn kernels 2 cups Veggie broth 5 oz Spinach 8 oz Coconut milk 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese Lemon juice, a healthy squirt Pepper & Salt to taste Directions Sauté well the onions, then add garlic. Add Beans, Corn, Broth. Simmer 15-20min Add Spinch and wilt it in. Lower heat. Stir in Coconut Milk, Cheese, Lemon juice. Pepper & Salt Substitutions -Parmesan Cheese for Nutritional Yeast to make it vegan. -You can use Cannellini beans if you can't find Butter beans.
