I was avoiding it because of how bad some of the other recents were, but sounds like I need to dig in

I think at least for the remainder of the year (or at least until the next raid tier for FF14, if my raid group looks like it’s getting back together, I love spending time with those ladies 💜), I’m going to trial this. Outside of my online RPG sessions, just be completely away from my desk & games.

Now that I’m typing this out I realize how happy I feel at the thought of eventually reclaiming desk space from my 4k gaming monitors and not needing to worry at all about maintaining my gaming PC to be able to run games at decent frame rates. Which tells me this is probably a change I really need.

So once the resin printer arrives and I'm a bit more steady with a brush, I'm gonna re-print this model and paint it again! :D

It was a test print with an 0.4mm nozzle, and there was definitely detail lost in the print. I've got a resin printer on the way (my original plan was to just live with what I could get from an 0.2mm nozzle, but the support story was just too bad)

This isn't to say evil wins always have that tension, or that good wins are never tense or interesting, or even that the game was somehow not fun for the players.

Just that I've noticed it's a lot more likely when evil wins that the events leading up to the end have made for a better YouTube video.

But a LOT of the time when good wins, particularly among experienced players (when good appears to win quite frequently), by the end of the game it's become very obvious who the demon is. There's no tension left. The evil team (and often storyteller) misplayed and it's just come up flat in the end.

I think what I've noticed, having watched a LOT of BotC (both from TPI and from others) is that when evil wins, there's almost always tension and uncertainty at the end of the game; an evil win is a sign that a game will likely maintain tension throughout.

I -love- that they were so blindly confident in their own marketing bullshit that they actually attempted to do it live instead of doing it as a pre-recorded demo that they pretend is live.
