With the exception of Lewis-Skelley (whose crime was "make a couple of silly challenges"), there were legitimate reasons to criticise the attitude and performances of those other players over the past couple of years, but for some reason the same benefit of the doubt has not been extended...

I will note - again, it's fine to do this, it should be done for all players! - that when Foden went off the boil last year the press seemed to know that he had some personal issues to deal with and didn't go in two-footed.
