@geengeenie and I treated ourselves to a pair of the cheap seats at Basildon Vue to see James Gunn’s interpretation of Superman…which was, predictably, brilliant. Everything from the casting to the music choices is perfect. Mister Terrific is just that and Krypto is the new Baby Groot.

You have to admit, that to go from 12th in the Premier League and total disarray this time two years ago to Club World Cup Champions is quite the turnaround.

Geenie and I took a stroll in the Library Gardens on Christmas Eve, trees festively adorned with illuminations and felt that all was right with world, if only for a moment. Then we came home and finally put up our Christmas decorations in the living room.
