Recorded this day, 1959: A 2nd session for 𝙎𝙠𝙚𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙥𝙖𝙞𝙣 produces an early take of 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗷𝘂𝗲𝘇. Miles plays this time, although he sounds a little below par, possibly still recovering from his flu, and Gil Evans' orchestra doesn't have it quite together yet.

Recorded this day, 1973: Miles joins blues legend B.B. King onstage in Barcelona for an impromptu jam. Miles doesn't seem especially comfortable, and King's drummer almost derails the whole thing. Odd.

Recorded this day, 1971: The band's European tour reaches London. Apparently an audience tape, it's very clattery sounding but decently balanced and another great show for Bartz, Jarrett and Miles.

Recorded this day, 1971: The European tour continues to Cologne, for a radio broadcast in great quality. The band are grooving hard, Jarrett and Henderson are impressive as always but it's Miles who sounds completely in control, a great performance.

Recorded this day, 1971: After something of an off night the evening before, this gig in Oslo is a real corrective- a focussed but freewheeling show with multiple highlights from Bartz, Jarrett, Henderson and Miles himself. Slightly bottom heavy sound but a real good one.

Recorded this day, 1971: The band's European tour rolls on to Copenhagen. Miles seems to be having an off night and, after several locked-in shows, the band don't quite seem to be firing. Still there are good spots for Jarrett and Henderson and the sound is decent enough.
