I was gonna go but I'm getting over a cold and not quite ready for going out in public.

This is so sad. It was an efficient, effecive, just way to make the iser pay and to reimburse those that were paying for other's consumption.

Obviously yes.

Seems like bad timing. Now Canadians will be boycotting Helly Hansen. Too bad, they make good clothing.

True, we all form opinions with a small window of first hand knowledge and knowing about terrible things is very stressful. But not paying attention is what got us into this mess.

If we're not vigilant and active citizens, it creates a power vacuum. Then laws and government are turned against us.

Glad it's opening but the lack of privacy and autonomy people get when sheltering seems unfortunate.

Yeah, I'm basically famous now and my house is considered a holey place by bird watchers.

I don't really believe they're trying to increase homelessness. I just don't think they appreciate the impact of their actions. I think the financial situation for housing secure people is so different, it's like they're on another planet so it's not what they're thinking about.

We need more housing. Low vacancy rates put renters in a bidding war for sparce units. Single family homes don't pay enough property tax to break even on their infrastructure/service cost. A central location like Valleyview, with a transit hub planned is an ideal location for multifamily housing.

It's a little surprising to me that men drive longer even though they age a little earlier. I wonder how much of that is cultural or if there's some natural preference innate to people.

Just perfectly normal christmas rabbits.

We deserve better politicians. I think aside from Elizabeth May, Trudeau is by far my prefered leader, and I've never been a big fan. It's just that he's the only serious and reasonably competent one.

All good news. Once vacany isn't at ~0%, landlords need to compete on price instead of renters competing to stay housed. Then financialization of housing schemes that keep units empty to drive up the scarcity of housing and therfore the value of their assets will collapse, further lowering rents.

Variety is the spice of life. I want an EV nissan micra or truck the size of an GMC S15. Something that costs less, goes further and is easy to drive and park.

We're 3 with no dogs or friends.

The huge impact parking has on housing affordability isn't just due to the cost of the parking spaces and the space they take up, but they also drive up the cost of the structure.

When we make parking a manditory embeded housing cost, we effectively encourage congestion, emmissions and poverty.
