Seeing Ekos and Mainstreet polls, one thing is clear, Liberals on the rise, Tories declining. How far it goes don't know but I think chances of Liberal win even if under 50% much better than most pundits care to admit.

Unless Trump pulls back on his tariffs, I think next Monday will be the beginning of a really bad recession in both Canada and US and probably worldwide. Could be worse than 2008 one.

And for claims progressives/liberals are condescending, I believe there are certain viewpoints that are repulsive and we shouldn't tolerate. Where to draw line debatable but needs to exist somewhere. We should not accept or tolerate those with extreme views.

Also a lot of bashing of liberal elites, but besides the struggle to define liberal elite, is there really anything wrong with them? I feel its more bitterness towards those who are more educated & knowledgeable.

How should one approach a debate with someone who is misinformed on facts. Debates on ideas are good but only if based on facts and feels today like one side too often bases everything on falsehoods so impossible to have debate.
