Trump realized that so long as he paid off the evangelicals (judges, safe spaces to express hate) they would support him no matter his sin. The evangelical elite sought worldly power in a simple exchange for a betrayal of the Sermon on the Mount. Power of the Deal indeed …

Mr Nichols, I’m a longtime reader (and fellow Gen-Jones-ian?), and your observations are spot on and well-expressed.
Charlie Brown (and Vince Guaraldi) has real ordinary children’s voices - there’s a nuance there that makes Charlie Brown eternal (ok, 50 years and going strong).
Enjoy the holidays!

In my Best 5 pantheon. Perfect cast. Graham Greene said later he preferred the film’s ending to his own original. The Ferris wheel scene is sadly relevant these days …

Here, though, is a perfect example of the inherent advantage conservatives have in messaging: if this were Biden, clips would be replayed on Fox platforms for months. Of course, the “regular” media would follow (they all follow Fox’s lead).
How will libs get this story out to the masses?

What a Series - I was 9 and living in Europe that October and eagerly bought the Herald Tribune every morning (father paid) so I could get Series news. Absolutely crazy for the A’s - Reggie Jackson and Joe Rudi were my baseball Gods
