I greatly resent the knowledge that my taxpayer dollars are funding the Proud Boys/3-percenters/ad nauseum so they can strut as a modern Sturmabteilung

NBC Nightly News absolutely going full-tilt “it’s all so … unclear:
Clear Video Evidence vs Transparent Lies by The Perpetrators.
American news media is utter shite.

Wait, don’t tell me, let me guess: the Democratic Party elite will tweet out mealy-mouthed mumbled then do absolutely nothing (save for the Dems who will vote more money to the Bovinos).
And every time Schumer opens his mouth he makes it worse

The Senate Democrats come to the poker table with a single strategy: to fold, no matter how obvious the bluff.

Estêvão is a real X factor for Chelsea - very young yet but his skills are already apparent.
And all wishes for a complete recovery for Levi Colwill!

LET’S GO CHELSEA - PLAY LIKE CHAMPIONS
May 25, 2025 at 1:48 PM
I didn’t expect Spurs to beat Villa today … but in that vein, Chelsea should be expected to take three points against United.
Get on with it Blues!
May 16, 2025 at 8:45 PM
The fact that either Spurs or Man Utd - two clubs in the worst 25% of the Premier League - will play in the Champions League next year is very funny.
COYS!

A well constructed house with every American in it is starting to burn with ever-increasing intensity.
Mike Johnson and John Thune, together with every GOP Congressperson stand outside, refusing to use firefighting equipment which is guaranteed to work.
It’s not just Trump.

The world history sophomores are in the midst of the Industrial Revolution, so we watched the first bit of Metropolis. We had a great discussion about the Workers City, the Club of the Sons, the Eternal Gardens, and MOLOCH!
They were enthusiastic how modern a 98-year-old movie could be!

Every. Single. Time I watch K Hepburn and Grant in Bringing Up Baby I am flummoxed as to why it is not more heavily promoted to younger viewers. Want young folks to appreciate B&W movies? Promote those that translate to now! The lead performances are absolutely modern, as is the pace of dialogue

After 5 years in a pandemic caused by a #virus , there is misunderstanding and misinformation about what a virus actually is. Not incomprehensibly, the scientific community has also repeatedly changed its mind about what viruses are. A 🧵

Our lives don’t have to be so damned difficult and exhausting! We are the wealthiest, most powerful country in history. We can & should make ordinary Americans’ lives better. Reliable food. Decent education. Retirement!
This is potential energy waiting to be unleashed - if the Dems have courage /e

Ordinary Americans are tired of this ‘trickle down’ shit. As the ACA has shown, Government can be a force for good - to make ordinary Americans’ lives easier. This is the antithesis of late-stage Reaganism - and authoritarians fear this 8/

! It’s like administrators claiming to “right-size” a budget, meaning there will be more work below while they award themselves bonuses. The corporate bullshit has infected every institution 7/

Ordinary Americans actually believe in the Constitution, flawed as it is. The authoritarians certainly do not. The language is clear, though! We know what it means! The authoritarians have to invent and invert meaning to achieve their ends 6/

But it’s been ordinary Americans - not ensconced in well-remunerated positions - who have held the authoritarians in check. Look at the grand juries who indicted the rich and powerful as well as the ordinary insurrectionists. 5/

Look at the Supreme Court - a majority of whom unquestionably lied under oath, invented Constitutional interpretations out of nothing, and failed their duty to enforce black-letter law 4/

American elites have failed at every turn in battling an openly, proudly authoritarian political movement. Though this is most noticeable in our legacy media, it is most profoundly evident in Elite Law. 3/
