As I write my book exploring whether scientific experimentation can be automated, I once again come back to Duhem's good sense, about 20 years since I wrote my dissertation on it, later to evolve into my first journal article and eventually this book.

Fantastic paper which captures so much of what I have also found deeply problematic behind the misplaced narratives on the promises of GenAI in education. Absolute must read.

Is #AIart really art? The end of art? Bad art? I explore how artistic exploitation, data bias and environmental cost can prevent us from engaging with AI art. Yet, I argue that artists can employ this immorality well, helping us overcome our imaginative resistance. link.springer.com/article/10.1...

I am so sad to hear that Micheal Friedman has passed away. It is hard to put into words how much impact he made on our field. His Dynamics of Reason inspired my PhD thesis, which he later examined, offering invaluable guidance. He led with so much kindness and generosity, great loss for our field.
I regret to information the Bluesky philosophy community that Michael Friedman, noted philosopher of science and ground-breaking historian of Kant, neo-Kantianism, and logical positivism has died. May his memory be a blessing. #philsci
