I got to meet my baby niece today. She’s 4 months old.
I don’t like to crowd a parent when they just have a baby. And work has been hectic.
But just like all my nephews and nieces. She was talkin and talkin and laughing. Made my whole year.

I appreciate what Bluesky is trying to do, but at times it feels a little *too* Twitter adjacent.

The 'Discover' section seems to work fairly well for me. It's had quite a diverse feed for the most part, but this is my first real time hanging out on Bluesky, so we'll see if it improves or not.
So I really like this place, it's relaxed and chatty, all very pleasant. But my problem is that my timeline is still sparse as fuck - I can't sit here and scroll and see what's up with the world. Is this my fault? Maybe I'm not following enough people. Or maybe we're not posting enough? I dunno.

Food, much like video games are meant to be enjoyed as you please. Whatever spice you eat it at is acceptable (and they do look really good xD).
Having Nashville hot chicken for breakfast because I'm in Nashville and at an airport, so why not. And because I am not a fool and have nothing to prove, I ordered it medium. Trust me, that is spicy enough.

I also think a giant problem is how accessible it can be for most people. I'm not saying it's bad, just that for a lot of people I've spoken with it was fairly intimidating at first glance.
the fundamental issue with Mastodon *for me* is that I don’t want to have to track every server admin’s feuds with other server admins when I’m just trying to talk to a single individual (and it doesn’t sound like hosting/paying for my own server helps much there, either)
