Definitely recommend it if you have like 9-10 hours to 100% it since the true ending is locked behind getting all of a type of collectible

It's more linear than most other metroidvanias since you're basically told where your objective is and the late game map sections are kinda locked behind keys for the most part but it's really, really fun

I like twist villains when done right but I love when they make a character the most rotten, spiteful asshole too

I love his lines the first time you fight him

"I am Lous Guiabern! I am the rightful king, he who will forge anew this unworthy country into a utopia.

Attack in any number. Wield any weapons. But... Fight with your very lives! If you live by a creed, show me it's strength!"

Elden ring just demands a lot more flexibility that I wasn't willing or eager to give to it

Also they finally fixed the fucking DLC boss apparently so there's also that

It's a roguelike that's completely focused on turn based combat but the complexity of fights are based on weird interactions with the enemies

Also a lot of stuff has deranged flavor to it, it's really cool

Mementos and those kinda dungeons belong in the trash, I'd rather have shorter, hand made ones

I don't mind the nidia and their eyes but Jin is so fucking off-putting....
