Watching a rerun of Kate Bush at the BBC, and noticed that in the Wogan ‘Experiment IV’ performance, there’s a BBC B and Cub monitor on the desk. Satisfying.

With my ‘I spend a lot of time looking at representing bodies’ life drawing hat on: This is fascinating. It’s visually correct - it feels like watching gymnastics on TV, but it’s conceptually and structurally very wrong. You need both observation (seeing) and construction (knowing) working together.
