As I move into my first assistant professor role, I've been thinking a lot about an art history/photography teacher I had in high school. I don't remember a thing he taught us about art history. But I so clearly remember him imploring us to just like, look at art. Care about stuff. Wonder about it.

Didn’t make it to explaining masters nationals
*Trying to explain frisbee to the trainers at the gym*: “yeah so nationals is next week but that’s club which is different than pro but club is kind of still bigger than pro but that’s changing anyway then this year is also a worlds qualifying year which is a different thing but club teams go and-“
