Happy Thanksgiving! We are grateful to have our family around us today and in true Canadian fashion, we are eating early so our youngest can make her 6pm hockey practice!

Last Mountain Berry Farms out of Southey SK! They do a wonderful lower sugar ‘jam-type spread’, and here in SK at least, it’s available at Costco and Co-op. They also do pie filling. Quite economical, big jars. They do saskatoon, hascap blueberry and strawberry I believe.

Happy National Dog Day! A shout out to Northern Skies Greyhound Adoption Association and the Ohio Lurcher project. Our last 3 houndlings were from Northern Skies, with our current girl (now 11!) starting her life in Ohio before coming up to NSGAA for adoption ❤️

#YQR Canada Day, where EVERY YEAR ignorant people park in front of fire hydrants in the neighbourhoods around Wascana. The streets are so narrow, it has essentially turned into a one way. Someone parked in front of him just this was taken 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

love that! Our festivities get bigger every year, despite being in a conservative province. My kiddos were all involved in the parade, youngest two with the Girl Guides and the oldest with the Queers for Peace (informal group they started)

Didn’t see this one coming. Love Larocque for Ottawa. They needed someone bigger and grittier. This may bolster the Charge’s D for this season, long term, it may be Toronto that gets the better deal. Time will tell, it will come down to chemistry, not sure how much growth these veterans have left.
