Probably not resolving the war, but resolving American conviction towards what they consider a fair peace. This then would leave Ukraine and Europeans in a position of long-term strength.

Well, Mr. President, you still have accounting on your side. The break-even price probably includes cost items not directly linked to the oil volume. So instead of starting to lose money with every barrel now, it might take a few weeks.

Sometimes it feels like Europe and US are no longer on the same side. The ambivalence on the topic is all thanks to the powers of Congress but if Trump had his way, no chance.
