The level to which humans around me conflate bees, wasps, and yellowjackets makes me want to stab myself in the eyes. And bees ALWAYS ALWAYS get the bad rap. They should get together with the pitbulls. I have a neighbor who is still touting the “they have locking jaws!” Garbage. Go die already .

So hey..the words “I love you” just slipped out of me when I was petting the dog this morning after she came in from the backyard. As organic as can be. Not sure how I feel about it. It shocked me a little. I’m probably making a bigger deal out of this than it should be. But it’s a big deal.

Years ago, I had a dream. I was upset, and was comforted by my grandma. I remember all the details: the room, her clothes, the chair she sat in. I still think about it today because I felt so loved. She was black. I am asian. Not anyone I knew except for in that dream. I hope I meet her one day.

Hitting burnout at work. My fault. I’m horrible at scheduling real time off. I have a 3 day weekend in the woods coming up tho. But is running 70 miles really time off? 🤔I’m really looking forward to it tho.

Just watched my dogs missing rear leg start to circle like it was scratching, as she leaned her head in its direction. I just jumped down from the couch to scratch her ear for her. Omg poor girl. Mama to the rescue.

When people are losing their pets due to age or injury, I seem to often be a person they reach out to. I feel a bit blessed by that. Like people know how hard I love my animals and therefore known they have a safe space with me. Meanwhile, I’m crying right now.

You always hear about boob lifts and stuff. Is there a secret industry of scrotum lifts? I’m an old art major. Been to tons of live drawing classes. Those things sag hard with age. With ego and plastic surgery being a huge industry these days, my brain is wondering about this today. #deepthoughts
