I think I really appreciated Carpenter’s craftsmanship on it for the first time. He’s pretty dismissive of it in interviews. No surprise there. I don’t know. Worked a treat for me last night at 2am.

Just reordering some scenes and now a top-tier DePalma. I feels so much more like his early work in this cut. And even thought I KNOW I’ve seen this movie at least twice I’d completely forgotten all its fun surprises except for the multiple personality stuff.

Treasure the time! I miss it. And I made some lifelong friends during my years there. Those early years were wild.
