This isn't to pick on @randybillings.bsky.social or @pressherald.com. I hear this kind of thing all the time even from candidates and colleagues. There are some deep-rooted assumptions in the political establishment about a left-right ideological dichotomy that are fundamentally wrong.

There will be lots of attacks on Troy Jackson and @grahamformaine.bsky.social from the right, but the fact that they did an event with the most popular elected official in the country, who is seen favorably by even 23% of Trump voters, won't be one that sticks.
