Yesterday, Rep. Michelle Boyer and I chaired the first meeting of the new Health Care Oversight Commission, with a team of expert members and a goal of reviewing and proposing changes to laws to protect hospitals, health services and patients across Maine.

It's maddening how often statements like this (in the

We passed emergency supplemental funding to pay hospitals and nursing homes and address the looming spruce budworm infestation.
Everyone agrees these need to happen right now but Republicans are holding the bill hostage and demanding health care cuts. It's disgusting.
