Aftyn, you ran an absolutely perfect campaign in my opinion. It is a good sign that you only lost by 2 points. I am sad that half of your state is brainwashed by MAGA and will suffer the consequences of their decision to vote against their best interest. Thank you for your efforts. You are awesome!

I couldn't agree with you more. I think the Democratic party needs to move further to the left. A centrist point of view is no longer relevant and not particularly effective. I think what is most critical at this moment is that we have enough democriatic representatives in the house and the senate.

Yes you are absolutely right! The elections in New York, California, Virginia and Pennsylvania last night demonstrate that we are seeing a shift away from the fascist regime that has taken over our country. Zoran Mamdani is a great example of the leadership and energy we need at this moment.

And also, just you know, according to article 3 of the Constitution federal judges have judicial power and are part of scotus.

No I didn't say that. You can go back and read when I said.

It was already ruled on earlier in the month by scotus. The example I gave you earlier applied to Northern Texas. And yes the president is subject to judicial review as indicated in the Constitution.

Yes, that is what I'm saying and that is how it is supposed to work. When the executive branch disregards both the legislative branch and the judicial branch it becomes a constitutional crisis. I am not aware of the Obama story. Do you have a link to an article or something?

The rulings are from Federal judges. You can read about the most recent ruling in this article from the conservative Wall Street Journal.

What the Constitution says is that there are three branches of government; the legislative branch, the executive branch and the judicial branch. These are to have equal power. When the executive branch overrides the legislature and the judiciary, we are now in a dictatorship.

The executive branch is ignoring the judicial branch and also the legislative branch. That is the problem. How can we enforce judicial and legislative rulings at this point? It seems to me that we need a mechanism to enforce these rulings.

14th amendment article 3:

Disqualification Clause, prohibits individuals who previously took an oath to support the Constitution and then engaged in insurrection or rebellion, or gave aid and comfort to its enemies, from holding certain public offices.

Everything that has been done by ice and the Trump administration is completely illegal to begin with. There was a court order for the plane that transported 250 + people to El Salvador with no court hearings and no due process. We don't know if those people actually were illegal to begin with.
