I can remember as a child my dad taking us on a family trip to the newly opened M6 section and Keele services. The M6 looked as empty as in the picture. When we got there our neighbours were there too having had the same idea. Exciting times 😂.
And yer tell that to the kids of today…

👍☺️ 1893, but continued to run their own line (Indra Line), and the son became chairman of Cunard, putting plans in place for the Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Mary in the 1930s.

Frankby, north Wirral. It’s the shipbuilding cousins; Tom Royden who founded the yard (Queens Dock 1823), built Frankby Hall (1848), and his grandson Ernest married the girl next door, thus inheriting the Hillbark estate, now Royden Park. Book complete, hopefully in print soon! 👍😁💙
