I keep seeing people post quotes from federal workers and people who need SNAP about how they're offended Dems didn't keep fighting and man I am sorry but you are lost if you think they speak for the majority. People don't want to starve. They aren't generally saying "make them nuke the filibuster!"

In general people believe the path forward is as obvious as they need to believe it is in order to justify the amount of screaming they were always planning to do, because for the most part the whole exercise is about determining what makes you better and smarter than everyone else.

The level of outrage people perform constantly out here only makes sense if it's obvious what to do to get the best outcome, which for the most part it isn't. If you're honest with yourself about this mess you should be too baffled to confidently assume everyone but you is acting in bad faith.

That's interesting. I'm not sure how much I agree with, but I appreciate your explaining your thinking to a rando. One other Q: why would he have to veto the subsidies? Those aren't going to even get a vote in the House, are they?

I appreciate you making this argument and agree with a lot of your points but I'm curious why you expect him to veto it. Hasn't the White House been supportive since this was announced?

The best part is that the clout will be as useless as what you did to harvest it. You're not going to sell books that way, you probably won't even get new followers. But it does generate notifications on your phone! Surely that's something

Trash the squishes, sure, but not the party as a whole. That's what it means to want the party to win. And honestly I think it's best to recognize Chuck Schumer isn't the real problem anymore, but it's his job to eat shit so whatever.
