Each month, my office highlights a teacher from across our State House District, and Tonya stood out for the heart and dedication she pours into her students in the Hazel Park School District. Congratulations, Tonya! You make our community proud, and I’m grateful for everything you do.

My resolution focuses on expanding access to mental health resources for veterans, because supporting their well-being is just as important as honoring their service. This legislation is a step in that direction.

Together, we can make sure no one in our community goes hungry.

This bill would provide a small tax credit to help cover costs and keep more pets out of shelters. 🐕🐈

The people who put their lives on the line to protect us deserve the best tools and support we can give them — and I’m grateful to help make that happen.

With record per-pupil funding, free school meals, and major investments in mental health and safety, we’re giving every Michigan student the support they need to succeed. 📚🍎

This means more money in people’s pockets, especially for those working hard to make ends meet and retirees living on fixed incomes.

With this budget, Hazel Park will be able to replace an outdated ladder fire truck, and Warren will receive critical updates to its Public Safety Dispatch Center. These investments will strengthen public safety, improve emergency response, and protect our communities for years to come.
