Sunrise at Mono Lake. From a road trip back in 2021. These limestone tufa towers formed centuries ago, underwater, when the lake was much higher. (What happened? Los Angeles happened, more or less... the early 1900's water wars that drained Mono Lake directly inspired the movie Chinatown.)

Saw a gaming hot take that said blank slate protags are “lazy and boring”. They may be boring but they are about as far from lazy as a development choice can get.

Every aspect of the protag is significantly more complicated/expensive when there’s a wide range of options.
