This was the second design of him made by Bob Clampett after his debut and him getting more and more popular, Clampett refined him later even more. He appeared in black and white and as a sidekick to Porky Pig.

It's been a long, long time since I've laughed so hard at a movie like this in theaters. Especially considering we're talking about a completely 2D film made with remarkable passion for the characters. Simply a delightful experience and one of the best animated movies I've ever seen. GO WATCH IT!
