Saw this amazing bald eagle today in western MA. I was so upset I didn’t have my camera with me!! But even in a grainy zoomed in iPhone photo it’s majestic.

Sh2-142 or the Wizard nebula. This is an emission nebula in the constellation Cepheus. It’s approximately 9600 light years from earth. The second image has the stars removed so you can see the nebula better. #astrophotography #sh2-142 #wizardnebula #finalfrontierfoto

The Bubble Nebula or NGC7635. The nebula is near a giant molecular cloud which is created by the molecular wind of the hot young star at its center. The star also causes it to glow. #astrophotography #NGC7635 #finalfrontierfoto

I took about 5 hours of exposures of the bubble nebula tonight, however it’s way too late to process the images. In the meantime, here is a shot of tonights moon.

I’ll never get tired of shooting the moon. I remember being little & looking at it through a telescope my grandfather had. I was amazed! It was also the first thing I looked at when I got my first scope. I guess it’s true what they say - You always remember your first!
