the fact it was on a few cable channels twice a day several times a year for a long time have kind of made it the default movie imo. incredibly mid, not a lot to hate

I think the bit where he accepts the framing as it being an issue of either the ACA or broadly repudiating authoritarianism is where he lost the plot. It’s the issue with broad appeal that cements a coalition. That doesn’t make it an either/or issue and it feels like he just accepted that framing!

Did they add another paragraph after that later? I’m seeing one where he decides “It’s not a win” but classifies it as “better than a loss”
