Main issues with season 3 are:
- leans too hard into doing straight 1:1 copies/references to 80’s movies instead of the previous blending of influences
- very clearly wanting to go from ‘80’s horror/coming of age to 80’s action movies, when that doesn’t really make sense for this setting/characters

Then season 3 swerves so sharply into a goofy cartoon world it’s honestly jarring.

I have to wonder if people start doing YouTube because they have a good YouTuber personality already, or if doing YouTube gradually changes you until you can’t stop acting like your on-camera persona

I feel like King is in a class of weird guys who are ostensibly liberal or progressive but also have a lot of nonsensical conservative ideas/nostalgia for the past based mainly on being super old. David Lynch was another one
