America!

The exact same Think Tanks and money behind Trump were behind Brexit. Literally the same people.

Simply put, everything in the UK now costs 3 or 4 times as much, billions were stolen and everything not nailed down was given to the 1%.

Buckle up.

It's an intentional economic crash.

I was going to write 'unbelievable', but somehow it's not. Just very bad government, based on poor judgement and/or corruption.
Let's remember this at the next GE. Starmer and Reeves do not deserve a second term.
Growth & employment figures UK Chancellor cited as justification for Heathrow expansion were from a report commissioned by.....Heathrow

It's likely methodologically flawed, failing to look at business flights trend & loss to UK from imbalance of tourist revenues

Reeves’s Heathrow third runway report was commissioned by London airport
The chancellor is under fire after a study cited as evidence for expanding the terminal to boost the UK’s economic growth was ordered by Heathrow itself

I don't feel folks understand Bluesky fully, having dealt with the punishment/reward system of the other socials.

There is no algorithm here. If you don't repost it, few will see it.

So I am not sure I can use this place as a base for my journalism.

Needs a lot more community involvement yet.

So that’s it… just try, instead of JUST “liking” something… to add a comment, quote, or repost, and help build a thriving social place for everyone.

Much love to all. :)

1. The implicit deal behind Starmerism was this: you might not like what he stands for (or fails to stand for), but at least he knows how to win elections. If you want the Tories out, he’s your only hope.
But now? It’s as if he’s going out of his way to lose in 2029. 🧵
