A rant:
NSandI’s process for a child owning their Premium Bonds account when they turn 16 is ridiculous. Unless I’m missing something. Maybe I am. Anyway here goes:

1. Letter arrives in post telling 16 year old to “show this letter to your parents […] and ask them for the details of your account”

So much for that Brexit benefit. Lasted longer than all the others, though.

Have tried to be a little bit nicer to everyone today, in a stupidly self-centred attempt to rebalance the universe in some vanishingly small way. It’s the only thing I could think of to try and feel some sense of hope. Perhaps that’s really all that’s left at the bottom of Pandora’s box.

Was looking forward to watching Channel 4s coverage, but hadn’t realised that they’d be giving air time to that festering, pus-filled boil of a
man.

Ras Al Khaimah. Not sure what to think. Incredible. Fascinating. Bitter sweet? Very welcoming. Happy to be here.

They appear to be creating land from the sea and building on it at the same time.

The trouble with these (actually very useful) starter packs is that people on them follow you back and then you feel like have to say something meaningful / insightful / funny / witty / interesting / short / insightful / non-repetitive.

My apologies to all the lawyers and Labour politicians…

There’s deep joy to be had in realising that I just don’t need to read this article. Or think about it. Or have an opinion on any of these people over whom I have spent far too long wringing my hands.

Is government-induced-exhaustion an actual thing?

I feel totally incapable of dealing with the relentless march of callous mendacity and shameless stupidity.

Dull and competent. Please.

Saw a hummingbird and followed it for a while. Took a series of outstanding photos of which this one is the best. Family disappointingly lacklustre in their appreciation of this momentous occurrence.
