Are you shittin me?!?!! No, but you'll print that and I'll probably be investigated

Posts mine, but if you see something you think you can use to get me in trouble I did it on my own time and my own device, so good luck
I mean not just McCain given Murkowski Collins were already no's when he did his Maverick (tm) show, but yeah basically

The reconciliation bill this summer is basically a soft ACA repeal as far as it goes

Mike could try to drop in similar language re: House members, but then it'd have to get pingpong'd back to the Senate for a separate vote (requiring cloture lol)

This could actually become a sticking point, if enough House GOPers get pissy about being left out in the relative cold

His statement is pretty blunt for a Senator, calling out the Minority Leader of your own party ahead of the Majority Leader is...well suffice to say I think Marty is now off Chuck's Christmas card list lol
November 11, 2025 at 5:06 AM
In his defense as far as it goes he's on record claiming ignorance and explicitly blasting Schumer for it, and it does sound like this was something Thune and Schumer cooked up themselves, but still
November 11, 2025 at 4:57 AM
Yeah lol like I don't think that'll actually happen, but a plain reading of this means your only option if your investigation points towards a Senator or a staffer is to immediately label that person a target
November 11, 2025 at 4:56 AM
Yeah it was the 8 that voted to to invoke cloture, but it's on Murray as SAC Vice Chair and Heinrich and Ossoff as the Dems on the Leg subcommittee as to how they either were a-ok with this, or didn't bother highlighting it as something in the bill they disagreed with

I think the means by which it ended was (probably predictably) shambolic, but raising the salience of healthcare and (maybe) teeing up an up/down vote on the subsidies is worth it for 26

I never expected the subsidies themselves to be in play, so
November 11, 2025 at 3:57 AM
Glonzo in this context is honestly believing that there was a viable mechanism of action to actually get the subsidies restored, vs understanding it was rhetoric that at best would raise the issue's salience with the electorate and hang it around the GOP's neck for the midterms
November 11, 2025 at 3:34 AM
The problem/issue here is the 51K figure etc etc was rhetoric (the whole stand on restoring subsidies was just rhetoric), not something that they were going to keep the govt closed in order to somehow prevent

The American electorate gave the GOP a trifecta in 2024, elections have consequences
November 11, 2025 at 3:33 AM
I didn't think the dems had a viable theory of victory because I didn't think the GOP would step on their crank this badly to give healthcare such salience, so as it turned out they outperformed how I thought they'd do

But I never expected subsidies to be restored, no

This website took as an assumed input condition that they would always be aware that any glonzo is fake, and welp
November 11, 2025 at 12:24 AM
are you aware of 5 USC 7311 and 18 USC 1918
November 11, 2025 at 12:20 AM
Yeah a bunch of low trust dipshits on here will get pissy at you for the contradiction, but that's less bad than continuing to tell them glonzo really is real and them continuing to crash out each time you fail to kill it
November 11, 2025 at 12:14 AM
Dem political comms people need to recognize that bsky is not real life and either just don't post on here (or anywhere), or tailor your message here appropriately, even if that contradicts what you're saying on CNN
November 11, 2025 at 12:14 AM
- the GOP in the Senate aren't getting to 60 votes on subsidies

- if they somehow do Mike will just ignore it

- if you try to message to this website that subsidy relief is still *actually* possible despite these two facts, you're just making (stupid) base voters more pissy at you for no reason
November 11, 2025 at 12:14 AM
"hey remember having affordable healthcare" is a good message to keep hammering home to the idiot median voter in 26, and glonzoism on subsidies probably helps

Unfortunately the idiots on this site have the opposite problem where they have become convinced glonzo is very much real
November 11, 2025 at 12:14 AM
Don't take my criticism of bsky farqaads thinking glonzo is real as an indication that I've changed my opinion on whether the entire Dem Senate contingent, including their staffers, needs to go
