There's been some sort of bus running on this route for multiple decades. Trolley buses now have a range of 10s of kms running on battery.
The $1B city spent on charging infra at depot could have been used to build trolley lines

@ncc-ccn.gc.ca didn't even cross this guy's mind not to just drive and park right down the middle of the path in middle of morning rush hour, never mind there was no good reason for him to be there at all. if Black & McDonald employees are this inconsiderate, they're definitely not good

Tim "one more lane bro" Tierney. If only we could go back to a time when you were not a councillor but just aspiring to be one and willing to bribe your opponent to get there

asphalt and cars ... it's not just for your front yard anymore :(

Why do you agree that the burden of supporting affordable housing and public amenities should be put on new homes?
Better delete community benefit charges and increase property taxes for all.
City needs to do all it can to lower the cost of homes.
100% agree on roads, Lansdowne etc

PLEASE do not allow this to proceed as is. Not acceptable. In fact, how could you allow this to get to this stage?!? Here's a summary of the proposal. Just replace pedestrians in the pic with bikes. How is this acceptable in 2025? This isn't even the mayor's "balanced" approach. It prioritizes cars

@shawnmenard.bsky.social raising the issue of the home affordability crisis while celebrating reducing how many homes can be built in the same newspaper ?!?! 🤦☹️

For anyone that can replace a car with an ebike, they could spend $5K on a new ebike, throw it in the dumpster at end of the year, and still be $7K ahead 😲
August 20, 2025 at 3:20 PM
With the car cost only going up, it's no wonder.
Most of that money goes straight out of the community (vs supporting local businesses)
Yet another reason to stop endless spending for more and more roads. It's bankrupting the city and bankrupting families and we're still all wasting time in traffic

Unfortunately his track record since becoming PM tells us he'll instead spend billions on some false promise wonder tech pipe dream in the name of short term growth
July 29, 2025 at 10:44 AM
by that logic neither is the US ... which checks out 👍

how many years have you been at this? and you still haven't learned about the hierarchy of controls. all your suggestions. your suggestions fall in the least effective category. These deaths are on you. stop wasting billions on new roads, and road widenings.

P1 Asticou is good option to access the park. close to city + highway. ample parking. BUT 0 facilities :(.
Relais plein air has facilities but parking full on nice days.

1. short term, 🙏 put porta potty back at Asticou

How about you didn't give half a billion dollars to your oseg buddies and then we'll have money to keep pools open on the hottest day of the year?
June 24, 2025 at 11:19 AM
How about since all your road widening projects only induce more traffic jams and heat, we cancel a few of them and use some of the money to keep pools open on the hottest day of the year?
June 24, 2025 at 2:05 AM
How about instead of giving your OSEG buddies half a billion of our hard earned tax dollars you use to keep pools opens?

Case in point, Ottawa has 1M pop and 6000km of roads. Total replacement cost is $16B. Vienna has 2x pop and 1/2 roads. Had Ottawa developed like Vienna we'd have $12B to invest into transit and Cycling or whatever else makes a city great
June 22, 2025 at 1:35 PM
Que the vote for spending of $100s of millions for roads that will only make traffic worse in 3, 2, 1 ...
